The Pre-Novitiate Period :

This phase is a time of human and spiritual preparation, enabling individuals to respond freely and responsibly to their divine calling (RC 4). Before entering the novitiate, candidates undergo a tailored preparation program under the guidance of a designated community member. This preparation occurs over a specified period and follows the guidelines outlined in the Rules and formation plan (CCEO cc. 449, 518)."
